About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Information Governance Officer (IGO) to join our well-established, dynamic, and successful team.
As a key member of the Information Assurance and Compliance (IAC) team, you will support both staff and students by managing a range of issues, from straightforward queries to more complex challenges.
Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the University’s compliance with Data Protection Law, including:
You will provide expert advice and guidance across all levels of the University on matters relating to data protection and information security.
We particularly welcome candidates with knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO in information security management and data privacy. Familiarity with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) would also be advantageous.

Working Arrangements
We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week.
