The Department of Land Economy is looking to appoint a Research Associate whose work will contribute to the launch of the Bloomberg Cambridge University Corporate Bond Index later in 2025 and the delivery of the ongoing research programme related to the index project.
The successful candidate will undertake desk-based reviews, data collection and analysis, written outputs, and the dissemination of research findings to different audiences, including through investor briefings and academic publications.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant field or with substantial and demonstrable research skills (academic or professional) that reflect equivalent capability to contribute to our programme of research. This position supports a key research programme at Finance for Systemic Change that underpins a bold approach for investors to help decarbonise the economy by leveraging a powerful asset class: corporate bonds. The research and the bond index itself cover the entire fossil fuel system (production, infrastructure, banking, and insurance), combining debt denial and engagement strategies.

Salary Ranges: Research Associate (Grade 7): £37,174 -£45,413. Those on an academic pathway who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will initially be appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5): £34, 132 - £35,166) moving to Research Associate (Grade 7) upon confirmation of your PhD award.
