We are seeking to appoint to a post of Lecturer in Computer Science with specialisation in one or more of the following areas:
The post holder will be expected to lecture on modules and programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The post holder will have the ability to offer knowledge and experience particularly in the above areas of specialisation, although expertise to flexibly support other computing-related disciplines is desirable. The post holder will also be expected to develop and manage critical aspects of the expanding research and enterprise activities within the Technology subject area.
About You
You will have a demonstrable track record of providing an outstanding research-informed, personalised student learning experience; demonstrating creativity and innovation in the effective development, planning, delivery, and assessment of a wide variety of learning opportunities to enable high quality student outcomes.
You will be taking a proactive approach to the implementation of established quality assurance processes, contributing to the design and implementation of quality enhancement initiatives, and undertaking all necessary associated administration.
You will be able to show that you can undertake personal tutorial support and provide a key academic point of contact for students.
You will be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues in the development and delivery of programmes and modules.
You will be able to show that you can participate in emerging academic, professional and research practices.
You will be able to demonstrate how you develop and/or maintain a personal record of published research and scholarly outputs, for example subject specific and/or pedagogic research or case studies, at national and preferably international level, and how you would make a proactive contribution to securing external funding to support this activity.
You will be able to show how you can contribute to securing and delivering financially sustainable enterprise activities, examples of which may include: applied research, consultancy, corporate training/education, knowledge exchange.
