About the Role
You'll work within the Maths team to deliver learning for our 16-19 study programmes, apprentices, and also adult learners - supporting their individual learning needs and monitoring their progress. You'll plan the delivery of Maths lessons, monitor and focus on the key aspects of attendance and engagement, and fully engage with and carry out all safeguarding responsibilities as required by the role.
Anticipated interview date: Wednesday 3rd September.
About You
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated FE Lecturer in Maths to join our dynamic English and Maths team who can teach across a range of qualifications including Functional Skills and GCSE. Whether you’re newly qualified or bring years of teaching experience, we welcome applicants with the drive to make a lasting impact on learners’ achievement and confidence in maths.
You will have proven experience of delivering engaging, effective teaching to post-16 learners, with a clear focus on supporting high-quality outcomes for all students. Your ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse learner needs, motivate those who may find maths challenging, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment will be essential.
You’ll have a strong understanding of the qualifications associated with post-16 maths, including Functional Skills and GCSE, and keep up to date with current developments in education and curriculum reform.
While the role will primarily be classroom-based, we also require someone confident in using digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Blackboard to enhance teaching and learning. You’ll be creative and resourceful, able to adapt lessons to a variety of learning contexts while maintaining excellent student engagement.
