About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide a professional service with respect to a range of financial and partnership management, including project and budget set-up, Partner due-diligence, building partner relationships, project staff and student appointment authorisation and compliance to funder and organisational terms and conditions along with leading on funder audits.
The post holder will also be expected to provide guidance and support to other colleagues within the Joint Research Office when necessary, along with the oversight of Research Finance Administrators who will support with invoicing and credit control.
The postholder will be responsible for a financial management of a portfolio of research projects including both coordinator-led and partner projects. He/she will provide comprehensive post-award financial management and administrative support to ensure that researchers and departmental administrations receive prompt advice and efficient service, from the point of grant agreement and grant set up, to financial monitoring/reporting, management of financial budgets, final claim, project reconciliation, closure and preparation for any internal and external audits.
This high profile, proactive, and specialised role will act as a key contact point in order to deliver a superior level of service to both internal and external customers. The post holder will have a high level of professionalism and extensive experience in post award administration. Above all the post-holder will have a keen desire to meet targets and deadlines and to pursue excellence in all that they do and to look for continuous development and personal growth.
