Hourly Paid Lecturer - Sound Design-Animation

Salary / Grade HPL1 (£39,162 - £44,052 p.a. pro rata)

Currently recruiting for a HPL within Sound Design - Animation

A flat rate of £20.29 per hour will be paid for completing one of the following elements of the schedule; teaching, preparation and marking

About the HPL within Sound Design/Animation

  • The BA (Hons) Animation course is part of the Digital Screen Arts subject area, which includes BA Games Art, BSc Games Design, and BA VFX Art, situated within the Design & Digital Arts Department. The BA Animation course strives to ensure students graduate with a unique combination of knowledge, skills and attributes aligned to the creative industries of the future. It has an established track record of highly employable alumni with strong creative and academic abilities,
  • As a sound design expert, you’ll help students enhance their animated storytelling with imaginative soundtracks and may also contribute to sound and music sessions for other courses like Games.
  • We’re looking for a skilled sound designer who can teach audio theory and the full sound process, from planning to mixing. Ideally, you’ll have both academic and industry experience, with a strong understanding of sound in animation and other screen-based media like games.
