This role is focused on developing international student enrolments and promoting two of our flagship institutions: Adcote School for Girls and Myddelton College.

Position Summary

The International Student Recruitment Manager is a leadership position responsible for driving the international enrolment strategy across targeted markets. The Manager will lead strategic planning, market development, agent and partner engagement, and the design of international programmes.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring leadership in global recruitment while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, admissions, and academic teams. The Manager will work closely with the CEO and be accountable for achieving revenue and enrolment targets, with performance formally reviewed four times per year.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute a data-driven, region-specific international student recruitment strategy.
  • Prepare a detailed annual recruitment plan, including a monthly income projection to track progress against the agreed revenue target.
  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging markets, recommending market entry or expansion plans.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Performance to be reviewed quarterly.

Recruitment & Outreach

  • Represent IQ Schools Group at global recruitment fairs, expos, agent conferences, school visits, and virtual events.
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns across channels: digital marketing, CRM outreach, webinars, and in-country initiatives.
  • Drive lead generation, nurturing, and conversion through integrated strategies and efficient pipeline management.

Agent & Partnership Management

  • Build and manage relationships with international education agents, consultants, and feeder schools.
  • Negotiate and oversee agency contracts, MOUs, and collaborative agreements.
  • Cultivate institutional partnerships with overseas schools, government scholarship agencies, embassies, and consulates.

Team & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal departments—admissions, marketing, and academic staff—to ensure consistent messaging and seamless student onboarding.
  • Support and mentor recruitment staff, regional representatives, and student ambassadors.
  • Monitor and optimise operational processes to enhance the student experience from enquiry to enrolment.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Able to demonstrate significant proven competence and progression in international student recruitment or international education
  • Proven success in delivering revenue and enrolment targets in global markets
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot), digital marketing, and data analytics
  • Ability to travel internationally and work flexibly across time zones
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and negotiation skills

Preferred

  • Proficiency in one or more foreign languages
  • First-hand experience of studying, living, or working abroad
  • Understanding of international education systems, qualifications, and visa processes
