Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our high performing HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to directly influence the provision of the current and future facilitation of leadership and management development solutions. This role will involve hybrid working, including working across sites according to operational needs, and some home working.

The Opportunity
As part of the HR team, you will create and deliver training on leadership, communication, time management, and other key topics. You’ll work closely with HR and managers to identify development needs and support change initiatives. You’ll manage learning operations, including the LMS and training materials, while balancing delivery with continuous improvement.
You’ll use data and feedback to enhance learning outcomes and team performance. You’ll also represent HR at internal and external events and contribute to strategic projects. Compliance with policies and professional standards will be central to your role.

About you
We’re looking for someone with experience in learning and development, strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, and a data-driven approach to improvement. You should be confident in presenting and adapting training for varied audiences, with experience designing and delivering engaging in-person and remote sessions using diverse methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of HR practices and compliance is essential.
