FACULTY POSITION IN THE BUSINESS SCHOOL – ACCOUNTING, FINANCE

LECTURER (Academic Level B)                - Teacher with academic experience (with PhD)

SENIOR LECTURER (Academic Level C)    - Teacher with academic and research experience (with PhD) 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Finance and Economics, as well as a strong research background in the discipline.

Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Academic Levels B & C)

(Essential)

• PhD or Doctoral qualifications and master’s degree in a Finance or Economics discipline area from an internationally recognised institution.
• At least three years undergraduate or postgraduate teaching experience in related fields having taught programmes where instruction is 100% English.
• Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching programmes and the provision of learning support.
• Extensive experience in higher education, with substantial experience in teaching, curriculum design, and quality assurance and enhancement, coupled with the ability to deliver innovative and engaging learning experiences that inspire students.
• In-depth subject expertise, demonstrated through the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field, and evidence of a positive impact at both discipline and programme level.
• Research experience.
• Evidence of high-quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
• Understanding equal opportunity issues as they may impact on academic content and issues relating to student needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean police record. 

(Desirable) 

• Evidence of excellent teaching identified by teaching evaluations and peer reviews.
• Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality assurance and enhancement in an HE environment.
• Evidence of a positive impact at a discipline or programme level beyond own teaching.
• Higher education teaching qualification, recognition, or accreditation, or willingness to work towards this.
• Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) qualification or equivalent 

Academic Levels B and above

• Evidence of high-quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
• Experience of research and evidence of up-to-date research activity.
• Demonstrable ability to lead research projects, win bids and generate income.
• Experience teaching at postgraduate levels. 

Please note that original certificates and degrees will be required on arrival in Vietnam (degree and teaching certificates; CRB or other police checks) are required for work permit purposes.
