The Role and the Department
The Learning and Teaching Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Learning and Teaching Manager and the Learning and Teaching Coordinator in administering day to day programme delivery, encompassing all areas of the taught student lifecycle from the point of enrolment to graduation.
The Learning and Teaching Administrator will work alongside a team of professional services staff, ensuring that the student experience is at the forefront of delivery. They will work closely with the Department Manager, the Learning and Teaching Manager, the Learning and Teaching Coordinator, the Director of Studies and other key stakeholders in the Department to deliver efficient and innovative professional support services across all learning & teaching, student support and assessment activities. Whilst being based in the History department, the postholder may also work alongside learning and teaching colleagues in other departments in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at key times of the year, working on specific tasks and projects.
The History Department is an excellent and rewarding place to work. Our Professional Support colleagues are based in a dedicated hub at 43 North Bailey; well equipped with personal desk space in an open-plan office, plus dedicated breakout space for meetings. Hybrid working opportunities are encouraged, with the possibility of working up to 40% of the week (Monday to Friday) from home.
