Job description:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in improving the experience of our prospective and current students, as well as staff, through throughout their journey to the University by leading the development and delivery of both existing and new systems across Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications.
The ideal candidate should be confident in dealing with technical challenges and have experience in configuring systems that improve our service offering on behalf of all staff. A strong understanding of utilising technical and digital solutions to further your work and that of others across the University is critical.
This will include utilising the systems available to you to deliver innovative solutions that underpin the key touchpoints throughout the student journey, while recognising the importance of bringing about opportunities through detailed business change.
We’re looking for forward-thinkers in this space, bringing innovative ideas and being confident in working with a range of IT and non-specialist colleagues to understand their needs.
You will be encouraged to take a collaborative and considered approach, acting as a subject matter expert for the systems and processes you are responsible for.
You will direct a team to implement robust and considered solutions that support our strategic goals and outcomes, inspire best practice, and provide training and development for innovative approaches and processes.
The Department of Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications (MARC) sits within Academic Services, which is part of the University’s Professional Services.
Our teams are collectively responsible for external and internal engagement, reputation and branding, marketing, market insight and research, corporate communications, admissions, events (including graduation), student recruitment and access strategies for the University. Faculty Hubs which cover many of these also sit within the department.
The Digital Enablement team, through a combination of system implementation, improvements and process change, aims to deliver a transformation of the digital solutions and services utilised across MARC, consisting of three teams who work across the service and beyond to enable premium experiences and solutions across a range of systems and processes.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
