Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an Administrator to support the activities of the Birkbeck-UCL Centre for Neuroimaging. In the main, you will take responsibility for the management of administrative processes in the growing Centre, as well as providing support to the Director and other staff.

As BUCNI Administrator, you will work closely with the Director and other staff in supporting research activities at the Centre. It is expected that you will co-ordinate and develop processes and procedures, which will involve liaising with the central service and administration departments of Birkbeck and UCL, as appropriate.

This role is offered on a permanent, part-time contract of 17.5 hours a week with a salary of £15,617 rising to £17,414 per year.

You will provide effective financial administration for the Centre, being responsible for capturing all income due from scanner hire, ad hoc reporting on scanner finances, and being the go-to person for all financial enquiries.

In addition, you will be expected to undertake central service department liaison (including process and procedure developments, marketing and publicity, web, finance, human resources, etc) and take responsibility for the day-to-day liaison with external agencies.

To be successful as BUCNI Administrator, you will be required to adopt a flexible approach to work and must be willing to become involved in setting up new processes and ways of working, as well as forging new links within Birkbeck and UCL, and with outside organisations.

Salary and benefits: Actual £15,617 rising to £17,414 (0.5) per annum, (pro-rated £31,234 to £34,827, FTE) which is Grade 4 of the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
