Business Education at Queen Margaret University Business School continues to see rapidly growing provision in both our on-campus and online provision. In 2023, Queen Margaret University launched QMU Online to offer a suite of MBA and MSc postgraduate degrees, and growth in this area is strong and we are looking to recruit a module facilitator to help our students through these programmes.
This is an exciting and timely opportunity to join a rapidly developing team given the existing and anticipated growth in our Masters programmes. The purpose of the role is to provide excellent facilitation of online learning and marking of assignments on these asynchronous online Masters programmes: MSc Healthcare Management, MBA, MBA with Finance, MBA with Hospitality, MBA with Project Management, MBA with Business Analytics and MBA with Marketing.
The postholder will have the opportunity to apply their skills, knowledge and expertise to our postgraduate programmes, which share the reputable approach taken by the division in being intellectually rigorous and research based, with a focus on wellbeing, social justice and diversity at their core. Our programmes are designed to meet the challenges as well as recognise the rewards of business in the 21st century and will prepare students by actively engaging them in contemporary issues in business and help them develop a sound knowledge of the range of factors that impact this diverse and complex area.
We are seeking applications from motivated individuals with an interest in business and demonstrable experience of working on online asynchronous programmes as well as marking at Masters level. You may be an education with an interest in one of the specific MBA programme areas or have a more generalist business education background in higher education.
You should hold a postgraduate qualification in a related field and have experience in delivering university-level provision in a cognate subject drawing on technology to support learning. It is important that the post-holder shares the ethos of the division, school and university in being concerned with issues of social justice and is passionate about applying this ethos in the delivery of our programmes.
Please note: As we are aware that many school-based practitioners may not wish, or be in a position to leave the school sector to work exclusively in HE, Secondments and fractional post(s) for this role are also welcome. Applicants should apply through the normal means and specify their position in their application.
This role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UKVI to enable sponsorship of migrant workers. Therefore, we can not progress applications from candidates who require sponsorship to work in the UK.
