About the role
We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Retail & Ticketing Team at the Ashmolean Museum in the heart of Oxford.
You will work in the beautiful Museum shops and at the Welcome Desk, as part of a small, friendly team, and be passionate about providing excellent customer service and meeting sales targets. You will have good IT skills, some experience of working with people, and enjoy being in a vibrant, busy environment.
This is a permanent, variable hours post, and you will be available to work flexibly, including working weekends and occasional evenings.
About You
You will be educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent in English and Mathematics, and have previous experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. You will be passionate about achieving personal sales targets and supporting others to do the same, with moderate IT literacy, including familiarity with Retail EPOS systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel. You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
