Research Assistant (until 31st March 2027)
We have an exciting opportunity to join the group of Dr Andrew McKenzie at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) to provide technical assistance in projects aimed at discovering and investigating new molecular pathways in the regulation of type-2 immunity and how inappropriate immune reactions lead to autoimmunity or inflammation. You will join a highly integrated and motivated team using state-of-the-art technologies to investigate the cellular and molecular regulation of lymphocytes and their roles in health and disease (Nat Immunol. 2021 PMID 33432227 and 2023 PMID 36550322; Sci Immunol. 2022 PMID 35658010; Immunity. 2023 PMID 37285842; Nature 2024 PMID 39112698; Science 2024 PMID 38935708).

We are looking for candidates with a passion for science and enthusiasm aligned with a strong desire to develop skills and knowledge as part of a team. You should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biology or biochemistry. Knowledge of immunology and experience of the following would be advantageous: flow cytometry; cell culture; gene expression analysis; CRISPR; analysis of mouse models of disease; computational and bioinformatics.
