School of Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellows who can help us to deliver an excellent standard of education in our undergraduate programmes.  We offer a range of programmes across Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic and Computer Engineering disciplines. Our teaching in these areas is research-led with significant amounts of practical laboratory-based work undertaken by our students.  Our staff and students are from all over the world, and we are proud of our friendly and inclusive culture. We support colleagues through family-friendly policies, including a core hours policy, the right to apply for flexible working, and support for staff returning from periods of extended absence, for example, parental leave.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver teaching to achieve the highest standards of student experience in a variety of settings from small tutorial groups to large lectures. In addition, you will have responsibility for adapting and developing teaching materials, and for setting and marking assessments providing timely feedback to students in a way that helps them develop their knowledge and skills. We are looking to appoint a Teaching Fellow with solid knowledge and specialism in the following areas:

  • electrical machines, 
  • power electronics.
