The University of Salford is seeking a strategic leader to join our Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Directorate as Associate Director of Knowledge Exchange and Business Engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver an ambitious agenda that enhances collaboration with external partners, drives income growth, and maximises the impact of our research and innovation.
As we implement our new University Strategy, this senior role will play a pivotal part in enhancing non-academic partnerships and further embedding knowledge exchange (KE) across our academic and professional communities. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative professional with a proven track record in leading and enhancing knowledge exchange and business engagement activities, to achieve strategic outcomes.
What the role will involve
We are seeking an experienced individual who will lead the development and execution of strategies that strengthen collaboration between the university and external non-academic organisations.
You will provide strategic direction for knowledge exchange (KE) activities, with a focus on enhancing HEIF funding and ensuring maximum return on investment. Working closely with the Associate PVC Knowledge Exchange, the Associate Director will play a key role in cultivating strong partnerships with academic schools and will collaborate closely with PVC Deans and Associate Deans to advance the knowledge exchange agenda, particularly in relation to income generation and performance.
