Oxford Brookes is a leading modern institution with big ambitions. We are seeking to broaden access to an Oxford Brookes education, increase our global footprint, and further enhance our reputation as a leading global University.
The Faculty of Health, Science and Technology at Oxford Brookes has an international reputation for excellence, innovation and creativity. Our Schools deliver a rich and diverse portfolio of taught courses and research programmes spanning from Architecture, the Built Environment, Health and Life Sciences to Engineering, Computing and Mathematics.
The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, located in the UK Motorsport Valley, has a world-class reputation for its undergraduate and postgraduate Motorsport degrees, attracting the next generation of Formula One and Formula E engineers, recruited through our strong reputation and partnerships within the motorsport industry. As our student cohort has seen consistent growth, we are looking to appoint a Technical Instructor in our Electrical, Electronics and Robotics laboratories.
As our Technical Instructor, you will be supporting our high-calibre students to design and build the next generation of robots and electric racing cars. As a part of our team, you will get paid to do what you love, working alongside students truly passionate about engineering. This work takes place in industry-standard new laboratories. If you have the ambition and ability to make a difference, then join our team and become part of our vibrant community of educators and researchers!
This is a very unique, exciting opportunity as the degree holders will be offered further development and non-degree holders will be able to apply for staff development funding towards a relevant degree. Candidates who are assigned to support our highly successful Formula Student team will also be offered the opportunity for international travel.
The School is presently expanding the operations into two new buildings on our Headington campus, a new teaching building and a purpose-built workshop. More information about the buildings can be found here.
