About the Role
We are currently seeking one part-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (0.8) to contribute to our teaching provision in Fashion Design at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. As a leading provider of fashion education, our current courses BA Fashion Design and MA Fashion attract a diverse mix of UK and International students, and we are looking for a visionary and critically engaged Fashion Design Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our newly reimagined Department of Fashion. With a proud heritage and a global reputation for excellence, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of fashion education at this transformative time for the industry. This role sits at the intersection of digital craft, critical sustainability, and emerging technologies, complementing our department’s wider focus on fashion communication, brand strategy, and Ai-driven futures. From CLO3D prototyping/patternmaking to ethical material thinking, we want someone who will guide students to develop fashion practices that are not only innovative but strategically and culturally attuned to global shifts. Ultimately, we want someone who can empower our students to shape the next chapter.
You will work under the direction of the Principal Lecturer and contribute to the continuous development and evolution of the course by delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse cohort of students and know how to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively using a variety of teaching methods. Previous experience in teaching at higher education level or significant industry experience is required along with a willingness to engage with industry developments, maintain strong industry links and incorporate real-world insights into your teaching practice.
Interview Date: 22nd September 2025.
