We are seeking a talented and motivated researcher to join the Mead Group to contribute to a major research programme focused on understanding and preventing disease progression in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).
You will take a lead role in conducting wet lab experimentation, applying state-of-the-art single-cell multiomic approaches and functional genomic screens to patient-derived samples and disease models. Working closely with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists, you will help generate and interpret high-resolution datasets that reveal new insights into disease progression, with the ultimate aim of identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
You will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil, together with sufficient specialist knowledge in normal and malignant hematopoiesis research. Experience generating genomics data from leukaemia samples with the ability to manage your own academic research and associated activities are essential.
The post is available fixed-term until 31 December 2028, funded by Cancer Research UK.
