The Position

Based in Trowbridge, UK, the Lead Scientist will join the Product Development team to optimize and develop new products and processes for our proprietary PoC Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) platform, the binx io.

This laboratory-based role involves designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to meet project deliverables, including leading other scientists. You will contribute to project plans, support design transfer, and ensure all work meets technical and regulatory standards. The Lead Scientist will cultivate a collaborative, rigorous scientific culture while delivering results on time.

Responsibilities

  • Technical lead on multiple Product Development projects
  • Lead and mentor scientists to achieve milestones
  • Develop experimental plans, analyze data, and document findings
  • Execute technical sections of project plans for assay/test method optimization
  • Support risk management (ISO 14971) and design control compliance (ISO 13485)
  • Apply Robust Design/Design of Experiments principles and statistical analysis
  • Author and maintain Design Control documentation and Design History Files
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing data to support design decisions
