The Institute of Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences, located within the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition, University of Aberdeen, is one of the UK’s leading centres for medical, medical sciences and dental education. You will join the team supporting the enhancement and development of innovative key research focusing on accessibility in education, healthcare and the wider community.
You will join an enthusiastic, multiprofessional team of staff who support the delivery of high quality undergraduate medical education in both the clinical environment of wards, clinics and other appropriate areas as well as simulated clinical environments in training areas. The team is responsible for the development and delivery of innovative and high-quality learning experiences of medical undergraduate students.
The overall purpose of this role is to support the NHS Grampian Charities funded research project examining the accessibility challenges (physical, auditory and visual) for patients, learners and staff within NHS Grampian and creating a user friendly dashboard to support individuals with accessibility needs, planning and visiting NHS Grampian settings. This research will use a mixed methods approach and is a collaborative project with NHS Grampian.
This post is for a fixed term as it is dependent on external funding. As such, the need for the post will cease to exist when funding runs out.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5, £32,546 - £36,130 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
