This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, forward-thinking and vibrant team at a top-ranking Russell Group University. The Bio-Support Unit (BSU) is a multi-site, multi-disciplinary research facility with its own technical, engineering, scientific, and finance & administration staff. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the administrative team and contribute to the effective operation of the services we provide to our research community. Duties will be varied and include dealing with confidential information, processing orders and undertaking related financial cost recovery processes. The successful candidate will work closely with BSU colleagues, academic staff, students and external researchers involved in biomedical research. Cross-site working between campuses will be required.
Candidates must have excellent IT skills and be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. They must have the ability to work on their own initiative and effectively prioritise their own workload. Good communication skills and enthusiasm are necessary as well as the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
