What you will be doing:
This is a 5-year post with a clear progression route into an indefinite position. The first 19 months will be spent working on an NIHR-funded research project which aims to determine the feasibility of designing and evaluating an artificial intelligence based computerised decision tool for falls risk assessment and prevention. This will be achieved through (1) developing a comprehensive understanding of modifiable falls risk factors; and (2) evaluating the availability and quality of electronic health record data related to these factors and falls prevention interventions. Following this, you will contribute to delivering the Centre’s two flagship research programmes concerned with 1) design and evaluation of technology to improve decision making and reduce documentation burden, 2) design and evaluation of technology to reduce the carbon footprint of the health and social care system.
