This is an exciting opportunity to join a research group working at the frontiers of cell ageing. This full-time Technical post funded by the Leverhulme Trust will investigate new biology surrounding RNA sensing in endothelial cell senescence. To achieve this, you will work together with a postdoctoral scientist to deliver project milestones. The post requires research skills such as cell culture, microscopy, protein and RNA extraction, in addition to experience with organisation of laboratory research consumables and data/record management.
There will be opportunities to acquire new skills in flow cytometry, high-resolution microscopy, and advanced molecular biology, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual. You will be joining the research team of Professor Reinhold Medina at the Department of Eye and Vision Science in the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences. You should be educated to BTEC Higher level (or equivalent) in a Biological Science or related subject. The post is available for 21 months.
