Are you looking for an interesting and varied part time administrative role and the opportunity to work in the exciting new Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities? We may have the role for you!
We’re looking for a HR Assistant to join a small professional team supporting the Faculty of Philosophy. You will provide support to the team in managing HR data to ensure it is accurately maintained on the HR system (People XD) while adhering to University policies and GDPR. This will include recruitment and employee data. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the team with a range of operational HR tasks including the administration of casuals and University cards.
This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, primarily based on site, but with the opportunity for occasional remote working. Hours can be offered either on 3 full days per week, or 5 shorter days. The post is fixed term until 30 September 2026.
This role will suit an individual who enjoys working in a busy office as part of a small friendly team. The successful candidate will be required to be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team to provide a high standard of HR support to the faculty.

The ideal candidate will have solid administrative skills, and previous experience of working in a complex organisation. The ability to maintain data to the highest levels of accuracy is essential along with strong IT skills. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal calmly and professionally with confidential matters. This is a small team with a busy workload, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, supporting the team as required, is key.
