About the Opportunity
At the University of Salford, we are proud to be at the heart of the world-leading innovations around social change and economic development that have defined Salford and Greater Manchester since the industrial revolution and transformed it into the thriving city region it is today – a place where ideas are formed that shape the world.
This is a new and exciting opportunity. As a key member of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, you will play a central role in identifying and developing collaborative opportunities with external organisations—particularly through Innovate UK Funding schemes, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs). You will build and manage relationships with businesses, public sector organisations, and other stakeholders, ensuring research translates into tangible innovation and societal benefit.
What will the Role involve?
We are looking for an individual with a strong track record of business engagement, ideally within HE, supporting development of successful Innovate UK funding e.g. Smart R & D, KTP.
You will lead on the development of industry partnerships, with a strong emphasis on Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and Innovate UK funding initiatives. Working closely with academic and professional colleagues, you’ll identify external funding opportunities, build lasting relationships with industry, and help secure income that contributes to the University’s research growth and performance in KEF and REF.
