We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographers to join our growing academic team in the School of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to join the radiography team and contribute to the development of our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.

Depending on skills and experience, the successful candidate will be appointed as either a Lecturer (Teaching) or a Senior Lecturer (Teaching)

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver innovative teaching and learning materials, including blended learning approaches.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and contribute to assessment processes.
  • Act as Personal Academic Tutor and support student development.
  • Engage with recruitment and selection activities.
  • Undertake academic administrative responsibilities and contribute to School and University committees.
  • Participate in scholarly activity, CPD, and professional development.
  • Promote inter-professional learning and collaboration across the School.
  • Ensure inclusive, sustainable, and safe teaching practices.

We are looking for forward-thinking individuals who are passionate about Diagnostic Radiography education. You will have a strong understanding of the current healthcare landscape, including the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, and be committed to preparing students for modern clinical practice. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time hours.

You should possess:

  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Relevant experience in teaching and course management in higher education
  • To be considered for Senior Lecturer (Teaching) - A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a collaborative and student-centred approach
