About this role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual to take the lead on all things finance for our Postgraduate Research (PGR) community. As the key link between the Doctoral Academy and wider finance and senior management teams, you'll monitor and manage income and expenditure, whilst ensuring alignment with funder guidelines and university policy,
In this dynamic role, you’ll take the lead on financial tracking, reporting and keeping our systems accurate and up to date with vital PGR data. You will support and guide internal teams on finance processes and policy and collaborate with senior leaders and finance partners across the university.
You'll join our Enabling & Digital team within Research & External Engagement — a forward-thinking group at the forefront of innovation, automation, and better ways of working and play an important part in digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
About you
You will be for a self-motivated individual that can work on their own initiative seeking guidance and advice where necessary. You’re well organised, have a keen eye for detail and actively seek ways to improve processes and outcomes. You possess strong communication skills, are approachable, supportive and understand the power of working together and building strong relationships.
