The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to develop its world-leading profile by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences. The school has a national and international reputation for world-leading provision of Sport and Exercise Psychology education and training across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School recognises the increasing importance of Exercise and Health Psychology in the discipline, specifically in relation to curriculum content, research and applied practice. Thus, you will make broad contributions to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences within the discipline of Exercise and Health Psychology.

You will contribute to the Exercise and Health Psychology and behaviour change curriculum and take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of teaching programmes/modules in relevant undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations and applied placements / practice, and provide personal tutoring.

The school also expects you to engage in research and scholarly activity in their area of expertise to extend the School’s high quality research outputs and impact within the Exercise and Health Psychology discipline. You will work collaboratively with academics across the world-leading Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, including colleagues in the Sport Psychology, Education and Coaching Research group and Physical Activity Exchange.

You will also be expected to contribute to broader school strategic agendas, including recruitment and outreach activity, and fulfil any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the Director of School or Line Manager.
