Working in the Oxford Brain Bank (OBB) based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, you will be responsible for supporting the OBB’s day to day operations, including invoicing and financial reporting. You will maintain up-to-date, precise records of the OBB’s financial income and operational costs, paying and issuing invoices. You will liaise with the finance team at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences to oversee the OBB’s financial performance.
You will work with the governance manager to ensure that the OBB adheres to regulatory and ethical requirements pertaining to the collection, management and storage of clinical research data. Your work will ensure that all OBB records are appropriately stored and managed in compliance with regulatory standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring the OBB’s databases are complete, accurate and up-to date, assisting with regular data audits performed by the OBB’s governance manager. You will have excellent organisational skills and a good knowledge of financial management and reporting. You will have solid IT skills to work with a variety of databases. In addition, you will produce user guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as provide training and guidance on how to use the OBB’s data and financial management tools. You will also be = able to generate data reports to assist the OBB director to evidence compliance with regulation or the requirements of the OBB’s funders.
In this position, you will process invoices, code requisitions, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy under tight deadlines. You will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders and providing essential guidance to ensure smooth financial operations.

The post is full time for a fixed term of 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
