Leeds Church Institute Scholarship – Fee Waiver
Applications are invited for full (1-year) or part time (2-years) Masters by Research (MbR) opportunities sponsored by the Leeds Church Institute. These opportunities will be offered exclusively UK/EU settled students who qualify for home tuition. Start date is February 1st 2026.
Requirements
You are required to have a good honours degree (1st Class or an Upper 2:1) and a strong wish to pursue a MbR with an original research project. The opportunity is ideally suited to persons already residing in, and familiar with, the city – although a case might be made where evidence of research excellence is found outside of the Leeds region. The successful applicant will be required to meet the entry criteria for MbR study (see our admissions policy) and attend the University regularly during their studies.

Applicants will receive guidance towards a suitable subject expert who is eligible to supervise in the area of interest.
