We are looking to recruit a Technical Officer to join Technical Services Science and Engineering Manufacturing team.
The services we provide underpins a wide variety of academic programmes and we deliver this support via specialist laboratories and workshops.
Our technical staff provide a high level of expertise and technical knowledge, playing a key role in supporting students in their studies and project work.
We also provide support for research, consultancy, and knowledge exchange activities. We are a forward-looking service, committed to a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Whilst this role is based within the Manufacturing team, staff work flexibly across all areas.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking for a challenging and exciting role within the Technical Services team. We support students and staff across a range of subject areas, within the Department of Science and Engineering.
The Manufacturing team focus is to support learning and teaching for Mechanical Engineering, offering an extensive list of services and advice from Mechanical project design and build to Product design student skills training. Their range of services means that they support courses and research in departments throughout the faculty and work alongside many other technical teams to deliver excellent technical expertise. We have a strong culture of continuous improvement, and we are passionate about providing the best customer service to our staff and students.
