We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new "Towards 2030" strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
The University of Cumbria is seeking a Registered Midwife for the position of Lecturer in Midwifery Education, based at our Lancaster campus. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the education and training of future midwives. We offer our learners traditional degree and apprenticeship degree routes leading to a midwifery qualification, and postgraduate provision includes the newborn and infant physical examination (NIPE) and Professional Midwifery Advocate programmes.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of aspiring midwives. We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of contemporary midwifery practice, with an interest in teaching, learning and assessment.
While this role is based in Lancaster, travel may be required to our Carlisle campus on occasion.
