Applications are invited for the above temporary full time post working in the Public Health Collaborating Unit in the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University (Wrexham Technology Park, Wrexham).
The Public Health Collaborating Unit is a public health/academic collaborative funded by Public Health Wales which provides a flexible and efficient resource for rapid assessment, evaluation and policy development support to serve Public Health Wales and the wider NHS.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the Public Health Economics and Value team (Policy and International Health Directorate at Public Health Wales) on a joint project with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Comprehensive Immunization Special Program (CIM) on the social value of immunization. The post holder will be required to support the interpretation of health economics data and information in the context of Social (Public) Value to build a Well-being Economy in Wales.
The successful candidate will have a A PhD in a relevant subject (health, public health or other scientific, psychological or sociological subject), or be near completion and have have a research background in relevant area (e.g. social sciences, public health, health economics).
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible, and the post is available until 31st March 2026, with the possibility of extension if additional funding is secured.
This role will be located on campus at Wrexham. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
