Deputy Director

Salary: £48,485 (£48,485 - £53,038)

Contract: Permanent, full time – 35 hours a week

Location: Edinburgh - hybrid working available with at least 2 days a week in the office (other requests for flexible working will be considered) 

sparqs is a charity funded by the Scottish Funding Council to work with Scotland's university and college sectors.  Our mission is to foster a culture of partnership between students and staff which enables the Scottish education sector to respond to challenges and realise its ambitions to provide the best possible experience for each and every student.  

Within this newly created post you will provide leadership across a range of exciting projects including the development of student partnership within a new tertiary quality enhancement framework, embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion in learning and teaching, and supporting effective learner journeys. 

You will have a commitment to championing the role of students in delivering improvements to college and university life and proven skills in developing effective project and operational plans, managing relationships with a range of stakeholders, strong team leadership, and effective political judgement. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead in a values-based organisation working alongside the Director to ensure sparqs continues to innovate and achieve ambitious goals.
