About us
King’s Academy is the centre for educational development dedicated to supporting all staff in enhancing the teaching and learning environment within the College.
Our team serves as the Education ‘Think Tank’ for the University, working both on strategic priorities and to foster a supportive and progressive academic culture across the institution, in partnership with faculties and through our collaborations with staff, students and external partners.
We strive to enhance and develop the potential of all educators who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.
About the role
Our Programme Design Workstream supports educators to design curricula, assessments, and programmes as holistic learning journeys, ensuring coherence across modules and a focus on inclusivity, sustainability, and digital innovation. By working in partnership with educators and students, we foster collaboration and people-centred design that creates impactful, connected, and socially responsible learning experiences. Our aim is to equip students at King’s with the knowledge, analytical skills, and collaborative competencies to address global challenges and future technological change.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with appropriate experience, for the post of Lecturer, Curriculum Design Adviser (Education). You will work closely with the Programme and Curriculum Design Lead in the development and delivery of advice and guidance to educators involved in the development and review of their programmes and modules of study, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
You will independently design and deliver continuing professional development opportunities for educators focusing on curriculum development and programme design as well as collaborate closely with student partners.
The role is primarily based at King’s JCMB Campus though you will be required to travel to other campuses on occasion. As part of King’s hybrid working policy, all team members are expected to work on campus for 40-60% of their time, and we would be happy to consider flexible working arrangements should this be required.
The post will be an indefinite contract. This is a full-time post at 1 FTE on an Academic Education Pathway contract.
