We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Lecturer (Supply) within our hospitality team. The successful candidate will collaborate with academic colleagues in delivering the curriculum for hospitality services/operations including working in the hospitality industry, working front of house, skills for customer care, introduction to events and sustainable practices in hospitality.

The ideal candidate will possess an HNC/D or higher level qualification in Hospitality alongside substantial industry experience at supervisory/ managerial level. You will have relevant, broad demonstrable industry experience in hospitality along with excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles/ needs.

Normally, you will be based at the Inverness College campus where our hospitality curriculum is delivered. Delivery will be a in person.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high-quality curriculum and educational experience.

You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome.

You should have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.
