The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Student Welfare Manager to lead and deliver a professional, student-centred welfare service across our Bloomsbury and Sussex campuses.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring our students feel supported, safe, and empowered throughout their time at West Dean. You’ll provide advice and guidance on a range of welfare issues, from wellbeing and financial support to accommodation and learning needs—helping students to overcome barriers, build resilience, and thrive both personally and academically.
You will also play a key role in coordinating reasonable adjustments, liaising with academic staff and external agencies, and fostering a positive, inclusive student culture. Beyond problem-solving, this role is about creating opportunities for students to gain confidence, transferable life skills, and a strong sense of belonging.

Desirable experience includes creating online resources, delivering group workshops, and accurate record-keeping in line with GDPR requirements.
