This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class team supporting UK companies to accelerate their growth through innovation, investment and partnership delivering economic impact into the UK economy.
About us
SETsquared has recently partnered on an exciting new supercluster working with 7 universities. Spanning the South West of England and South Wales, the Great Western Supercluster of Hydrogen Impact for Future Technologies (GW-SHIFT) connects academic and industry partners, local authorities and other public sector organisations with a shared vision to maximise the enormous potential of the region's hydrogen ecosystem.
We are looking for a pro-active, hands-on Sector Manager to act as the programme's lead in building a pipeline of early-stage businesses innovating in this sector. The right candidate will coordinate SETsquared's support and input into the programme and draw together activity across our network of start-ups, SMEs, and University partners.
The SETsquared Partnership is a world leading business incubator and innovation partnership comprising six research-intensive universities: Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, and Surrey. We provide a range of highly acclaimed support programmes to help turn ideas into thriving businesses.
About you
In this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team along with a wider team at each of the individual Universities within the SETsquared Partnership.
With a wide ecosystem across SETsquared and beyond, this is a complex and challenging but stimulating and rewarding environment to work within.
Further information
This is a part-time role, working 21.9 hours (0.6 fte) for an initial fixed-term period of two years, until April 2027. Please note that the working days are yet to be agreed with the Manager according to the demands of the project.
You may be required to undertake duties outside of standard University hours, including evenings where the business need arises, and some travelling across the South of the UK/South Wales may be required.
Interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 3 November 2025.
