A fully funded 3-year PhD is available in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Bangor University. The project will develop advanced nano-imaging and nano-sensing technologies, enhanced by AI analysis, to study viral infection in real time at the cellular and nanoscale level. This interdisciplinary research combines photonics, AI, and biological sciences, with potential applications in diagnostics, biotechnology, and phage research.
The successful student will also have the opportunity to visit Northeastern University and MIT (USA) as part of the project.
