We’re looking for a new colleague to join our collaborative Strategy, Planning & Performance team as the University’s first Central Academic Workload Manager and System Administrator. This is a new role and a chance to establish yourself as the expert in a key area of capability – leading the implementation and ongoing development of our Workload Allocation Management System (WAMS) and helping to embed a fair, transparent, and consistent approach to workload planning across the University.
As the central system superuser and process lead, you’ll be the go-to person for colleagues, working closely with academic and professional services teams to make sure workload allocation runs smoothly. You’ll provide analysis and reporting that supports leadership decision-making, as well as practical guidance and training that helps colleagues use the system with confidence.
This role will suit someone who enjoys building something new, combining technical and analytical expertise with a collaborative, people-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable acting as a point of expertise while working alongside a friendly and committed team that values openness, learning, and teamwork. Together, we’ll support each other to make a real difference for our colleagues and the University.
