LSE Student Wellbeing Service wishes to recruit a Deputy Head of Counselling Service to help co-lead a short-term student and staff counselling provision The Deputy Head of Counselling Service will support the Head of Counselling Service in implementing the overall strategic intent for the Counselling Service. They will be involved in the leadership, development, organisation and management of the Counselling Service. The postholder will also carry a small caseload of clients. 

Applicants will have significant, demonstrable experience of counselling service management and delivery. Applicants will have an understanding of University counselling and associated challenges. Applicants will have demonstrable experience of providing solution focussed counselling and be skilled in working with a wide range of clients and presenting issues. 

Candidates must meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification including full BACP Accreditation/UKCP/BPS/NCPS accreditation / registration. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for professional accreditation/registration will not be considered for this post.

This position will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Any offer of employment made is conditional on receipt of a satisfactory DBS check.
