About the Role
The Assistant Residences Operations Manager is to be a visible management presence on the ground visiting at least one hall every day, liaising with the local operational contacts across FM, security and maintenance, walking the floor to ensure general cleaning and maintenance standards are met. In addition the post will line manage the Reception team at France House, to ensure the service is staffed efficiently to deliver the high level of customer service required.
The post holder is to act as a first point of contact to residents regarding queries and concerns and be able to identify students who are vulnerable or at risk.
The Assistant Residential Operations Manager will report to the Residences Operations Manager who will ensure robust Service Level Agreements are in place across all sites.
About the Department
Residential Services offers support to 3000 students living in QM Halls. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Residences Operations Manager who will be able to assist us in delivering our residences operational needs. The postholder will also ensure services provided by Cleaning, Maintenance and Security are delivered to a high standard. The post holder will also manage the 24/7 Reception Services which is based on the Mile End Campus and develop the team there to enable them to respond to all queries regarding the service provision.
About You
The post holder will be expected to deliver standards throughout halls and assist in raising the standards of customer service provided. Experience of dealing with Mental Health and support issues is a requirement of the post as students are likely to present with difficulties. The post holder will have recent experience in managing a small team to deliver a high level of service and will assist in developing policies and procedures for Residences Reception.
