We are looking for a part-time Premises and Finance Administrator to join our Premises and Administration team on a temporary basis until August 2026, based in the Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library. 

About the role

The Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library forms part of Section 3 of the Humanities Libraries, which supports research, teaching and learning in Archaeology, History of Art and the Ancient World (Art Library), Modern and Medieval European Languages and Literatures (Taylor Institution Library), and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies (Nizami Ganjavi Library). You will be based primarily in the Art Library but as part of your duties you may need to attend other sites and work in other locations when required. 

Under the supervision of the Humanities Libraries Finance and Administration Officer, you will be the first point of contact for building and maintenance related queries in the Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library and you will carry out a range of administrative and financial tasks in support of the wider Humanities Libraries group. Typical finance tasks will include assisting with financial reporting and budget monitoring and providing advice on financial procedures and policies to managers within the Humanities Libraries Group. 

This is a part-time, fixed-term post until August 2026. You will work 18 hours per week as follows: Monday to Wednesday 9:00 to 15:30 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break. We can provide some flexibility around start and end times.  

About You

You should have strong organisational and communication skills and demonstrable experience in providing a high standard of administrative support. You should have experience in a finance related role and excellent IT skills including the ability to use finance information systems and spreadsheets to analyse data. Previous experience in building management and in supervising and allocating tasks to others is desirable.
