We're looking for an Academic Skills Adviser to join our dedicated team and empower students at all levels to succeed in their studies. If you have a passion for engaging learners with statistics and want to make a real impact on their academic journey, we have a fantastic opportunity for you.

We work together to help students from all disciplines develop the essential academic and study skills they need to thrive. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our MASH (Maths and Statistics Help) provision. You will lead on statistics support, providing engaging one-to-one sessions and delivering a dynamic program of workshops. You'll also use your digital literacy to develop high-quality, accessible online resources that support students from foundation-level preparation through to postgraduate projects.

You will use your experience to:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support in statistics.
  • Design and deliver a range of workshops as part of the MASH program.
  • Develop digital resources for students at all levels of study.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with:

  • A good honours degree in maths, statistics, or a related subject with substantial quantitative content.
  • Proven experience in providing individual and small group tuition, both face-to-face and online.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A high level of digital literacy, including working with relevant statistics packages such as SPSS and R.
