We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems at the University of Liverpool. You will work within the internationally recognised NCD Prevention and Food Policy Group on the UKRI-funded project Developing public health policies for the out-of-home food sector to improve diet and reduce obesity, in collaboration with the University of Bristol.

Your role will focus on modelling the population-level epidemiological and economic impacts of new policy interventions in the out-of-home food sector. You will work alongside experts in epidemiology, data science, and policy to produce high-quality, policy-relevant evidence with real-world impact.

You should have a PhD (or near completion) in public health, epidemiology, data science, applied statistics or economics, with experience in epidemiological analysis, statistical programming (e.g. R ).

The post is available for up to 26 months, full-time, with hybrid working from our Liverpool campus. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact research while developing your career in a world-leading public health institute.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work a minimum requirement of 40% on Campus, with 60% considered desirable where possible.
