Main duties and responsibilities
In this varied role, you will provide central administrative support to a busy and collaborative team, helping to deliver a wide range of projects and programmes including Professional Programmes, Degree Apprenticeships Compliance, Account Management and Business Development. You will be the first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries related to the A&PP team’s programmes & projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the Associate Director of Apprenticeships & Professional Programmes with diary management, meetings and minute taking, as well as maintaining accurate records on our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. You will contribute to compliance and reporting by ensuring data integrity and consistency, and you’ll handle data in accordance with GDPR and University regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security at all times.
The role also involves financial administration such as raising purchase orders and processing invoices, along with organising events, conferences and travel arrangements. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the University, including Procurement, Marcomms and Document Services, to ensure the smooth delivery of activities and events.
Skills and experience required
You will have experience of providing administrative support, experience of providing a customer-focused service and experience of organising meetings and minute taking. You will have strong organisational skills, a methodical approach and attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work to tight deadlines. Good IT skills are essential, including the use of MS Office and databases, along with the ability to collect, process and present data. The ability to demonstrate a good understanding of customer/client care, including a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner will be key, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of A-levels or equivalent, or proven professional work experience.
