Role Summary
We are seeking a critically engaged and forward-thinking Course Leader to oversee the MA Content Creation & Production, a newly revalidated postgraduate programme that explores the shifting landscape of fashion media through a multidisciplinary, inclusive, and practice-led approach. This role requires a visionary leader to guide the course’s strategic development and day-to-day delivery, ensuring a curriculum that is contemporary, responsive to critical theory, and rooted in diverse fashion storytelling across multidisciplinary platforms enhanced by technological innovation. The Course Leader will champion a pedagogy that foregrounds equity, diversity, and sustainability while fostering creative originality and cultural sensitivity.
The MA programme positions fashion as both a mediated and mediating cultural force, inviting students to produce conceptually rigorous and visually sophisticated work across diverse platforms. It encourages critical engagement with complex ideas of identity, representation, authorship, and audience, situated within global media ecologies that interrogate the intersections of technology, creativity, and cultural exchange in a hyperconnected world. The Course Leader will support staff and students in navigating these intersections, nurturing a distinctive creative voice that responds thoughtfully to the evolving demands of the fashion and media industries.
In this leadership role, you will work closely with academic staff, researchers, industry partners, and an international student body to ensure the course remains research-informed, culturally relevant, and technologically current. You will promote interdisciplinary collaboration and integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and interactive digital tools into the curriculum. Your leadership will ensure graduates are equipped with a future-facing, critically attuned skillset, preparing them for impactful careers in editorial direction, content strategy, visual production, and digital curation within the dynamic landscape of fashion media.
