We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the project A One Health framework to assess the risks of antimicrobial resistance in aquatic ecosystems in North-East Thailand and inform mitigation strategies, working with Glasgow PI Taya Forde, and co-investigators Nick Hanley, Tiziana Lembo and Nai Rui Chng. This project is funded under the UKRI-Southeast Asia Collaboration on Infectious Diseases Funding Opportunity.
Our project aims to produce new thinking and transdisciplinary research outputs to facilitate new approaches to measuring and managing antimicrobial resistance problems linked to aquaculture in Thailand. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow, liaising closely with our project partners in Thailand
Candidates should be qualified to Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 [PhD] in a relevant field such as economics, ecology, global public health, environmental science or statistics; or alternatively possess the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, with experience of personal development in a similar or related role[s]. A key role for the successful applicant will be to help design, administer and analyze a stated preference choice experiment with aquaculture operators in Thailand.
